Access to Higher Education

The right of access to higher education is mentioned in a number of international human rights instruments. The UN International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 declares, in Article 13, that higher education shall be made equally accessible to all, on the basis of capacity, by every appropriate means.

Creativity and Innovation

Creativity is a phenomenon whereby something new and somehow valuable is formed. Innovation is often also viewed as the application of better solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs.

Research

Research is used to establish or confirm facts, reaffirm the results of previous work, solve new or existing problems, support theorems, or develop new theories. The primary purposes of research are documentation, discovery, interpretation, or the research and development (R&D) of methods and systems for the advancement of human knowledge.
